Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Wiplinger / Emanuel Wiplinger (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use Rendervis at rendervis.com and related domains (the “Service”).
Rendervis is a hosted software service for creating, publishing, and sharing interactive 3D product experiences, including AI images and videos.
The controller for personal data is Emanuel Wiplinger, Dannerweg 2, 4040 Linz, Austria.
The short version
- You create an account with email or Google. We store your name, email address, and workspace membership so you can sign in and collaborate.
- Your projects live in the cloud. Uploads, project data, and generated files are stored so the Software can work.
- If you publish an experience, that page is public. Company listing, product pages, models, and pinned media can be opened by anyone with the link or an embed.
- We count views on published pages and use privacy-friendly traffic analytics on marketing and public pages. We do not run ads against your projects.
- Generations go through AI providers. Prompts and source media are sent to third-party AI services to create images and videos. We do not train our own models on your content.
- Payments go through Polar. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Email newsletter is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- No sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal information.
- Contact support if you need your account closed.
Information we collect
Account and sign-in
When you register or are invited to a workspace, we collect your name, email address, email verification status, optional profile image, newsletter opt-in, and workspace name, membership, and invitations.
If you sign in with Google, we receive the profile information Google shares with us, typically name, email address, and profile image, plus tokens needed to complete sign-in.
Onboarding
When you first use the Software we may ask optional questions about your role, what you want from visualization, and how you heard about Rendervis. We store those answers with your account so we can improve the product.
Workspace and billing
We store workspace settings, member roles, invitations, company handle, logo, plan, purchase records, Polar identifiers, credit balances, and storage usage.
Project content
We store the files and project data you create or upload, such as 3D models, images, videos, prompts, camera views, hotspots, branding, location text, and generated images or videos, so the Service can show them to you and to members of your workspace.
Do not upload material you are not allowed to share with your workspace or with us.
Published pages and visitors
If you publish a project, the public page includes the content you chose to show: name, description, branding, model, views, hotspots, and pinned media. We increment a view count when that page is loaded. We do not require visitors to create an account, and we do not attach those views to a named visitor profile in Rendervis.
Marketing pages and public experiences also use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic (for example pages viewed and referrers). That analytics script is not loaded on the signed-in app. It is not used to show advertising.
Billing information
If you subscribe or buy credits, Polar processes payment. We store plan, subscription status, Polar identifiers, and credit balances.
Polar handles card numbers and tax details under Polar’s privacy policy. We may receive limited billing metadata such as email, country, and invoice status.
Technical and support information
To operate and secure the Service we may process IP address, browser, device type, requested URL, timestamp, session data, and error logs.
If you email us, we receive what you send and use it to respond and keep reasonable records.
How we use information
We use information to provide the Service, authenticate accounts, store projects, run generations you request, publish pages you choose to make public, manage billing, send transactional email, invite workspace members, respond to support or legal requests, keep the Service secure, understand product usage, and comply with the law.
We do not use your project files for advertising.
Email newsletter
You can optionally subscribe to the Rendervis email newsletter, for example from the website or by opting in when you create an account. We collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. A newsletter subscription is not required to use the Service.
We use that information to send product updates, launch announcements, and related offers such as discount codes. We do not sell newsletter contacts.
You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email, or by contacting us. After you unsubscribe, we stop sending newsletter messages. We may keep a minimal record of the unsubscribe so we do not email you again by mistake.
Newsletter delivery is handled by Resend. Transactional emails from the Service (such as email verification, one-time sign-in codes, and workspace invitations) are also sent through Resend and are separate from the newsletter.
AI processing
When you generate, edit, or upscale content, we send the prompt and necessary source media to AI providers so they can return a result. Style analysis may go through Vercel AI Gateway, which can route the request to a model provider.
We do not train our own models on your uploads or generations. Third-party AI providers process that content under their own terms and privacy policies and may operate outside the European Union.
Cookies and local storage
Rendervis uses cookies and similar storage that are needed to run the Service: session cookies so you stay signed in, and local browser storage for short-lived UI state such as theme on the signed-in app.
These are not advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but then sign-in and some features will not work. Vercel Web Analytics on public pages is designed to work without advertising cookies.

Data retention
- Account and project data: Kept while the account or workspace exists.
- Published pages: Stay public until you unpublish or delete them, or the workspace is closed.
- Sessions: End when they expire or you sign out.
- Billing records: Kept as needed for billing, tax, and accounting.
- Purchased credits: Unused purchased credits are valid for 30 days after purchase.
- Support emails and logs: Kept for a limited period as reasonably necessary.
- Newsletter contacts: Kept while you remain subscribed, then removed or suppressed after you unsubscribe as needed to honor that choice.
If you delete your account in Settings, or it is closed through support, we delete related personal files and records, including workspaces you own and files stored for them. Team workspace content remains with the workspace until that workspace is closed. Backups and logs may persist for a short time until they rotate. Polar may retain payment records under its own policies.
Your choices and rights
You can update your account, leave a workspace, manage purchases in Billing, unpublish or delete projects, unsubscribe from the newsletter, and delete your account in Settings at any time. Disable billing in Billing before deleting your account. That deletes workspaces you own and their stored files.
You may also contact us to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal information we hold. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under the GDPR and similar laws.
Workspace content belongs to the workspace. If you are a member (not the owner), deleting your account removes your membership; it does not by itself delete the workspace’s projects or published pages.
Visitors to a published page can stop using that page at any time. They do not have an account with us unless they create one.
Security
We use HTTPS, access checks, and private file storage for unpublished material. Published pages are intentionally public. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Rendervis is a professional tool. It is not intended for children under 16, or the minimum age required in your country if higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
Wiplinger operates from Austria. Providers may process data in the European Union, the United States, or other countries. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA or United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
European users
Our legal bases typically include contract (providing the Service and billing), legitimate interests (security, reliability, and understanding how public pages are used), consent where we ask for it (newsletter and optional onboarding answers), and legal obligation (tax and accounting).
For users in Austria, the supervisory authority is:
Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde
