# Your furniture. A setting to match.

Bring a furniture photo and explore how to present it in a room. Give the piece a setting, a material palette, and a sense of scale.

**Audience:** For furniture designers, makers, and product teams

## How it works

Furniture in a room, from your own image.

1. **Upload the furniture photo** — Choose a clear view of the whole piece. Add a room reference if you have one.
2. **Describe the setting** — Name the room, materials, lighting, and product details that should stay.
3. **Review the visual concept** — Check the furniture against your source, ask for changes, and download your chosen image.

## Example prompt

```
Keep the exact lounge chair, its caramel upholstery, walnut frame, legs, scale, camera angle and position. Replace the seamless studio background with a quiet contemporary living-room setting: pale plaster wall, oak floor, a neutral rug beneath the chair, soft window light from the left and one restrained plant far behind. The chair remains the hero and must not change identity.
```

## From reference to concept.

A generated source, its edited result, and a closer look at the same result. Use the comparison above to inspect what changed.

- **Product reference** — The generated source image used as the edit reference.
- **Room concept** — The result of the task-specific edit, using that source image.
- **Leather and walnut** — A tightly framed detail from this result, shown at three times the scale of the full view.

## Benefits

- **Start with the piece** — Use a clear product photo or exported image with the important details visible.
- **Choose the room** — Describe the interior, lighting, and material palette around the furniture.
- **Review the product** — Compare the generated shape, finish, and scale against the source before sharing.

## Tips

- Use a clear, well-lit view of the whole furniture piece.
- Name the product details that matter: silhouette, legs, upholstery, and finish.
- Check proportions and product identity carefully before using a concept commercially.

## Furniture in a room questions

### Can I start with my own furniture photo?

Yes. Upload a clear image of the piece and describe the room or setting you want to explore. Add a room reference when it helps explain the brief.

### Will the product stay exactly the same?

Exact product identity is not guaranteed. AI may change proportions, materials, seams, legs, or other details. Compare the result with the source before using it in product marketing.

### Can I use an existing room as a reference?

Yes. Upload the room image alongside the product photo and explain which image supplies the furniture and which supplies the setting.

### Does this replace a CAD or studio render?

No. This workflow helps explore presentation concepts. Use a measured model or a verified studio photograph when exact geometry and product fidelity are required.

AI can change product geometry, materials, branding, and scale. A contextual image is not a dimensionally accurate product render or a guarantee of exact product identity.
