# Give an empty room a little possibility.

Upload a property photo and explore furniture, styling, and a more inviting presentation. Start with an empty or lightly furnished room, and review the result against the original before sharing.

**Audience:** For agents, property photographers, and marketing teams

[Stage your room](/try/ai-virtual-staging/start)

## How it works

Virtual staging, from your own image.

1. **Bring a room photo** — Choose an empty or lightly furnished room with visible corners, openings, and floor space.
2. **Describe the buyer-facing look** — Tell Bob the room type, furniture direction, and features that must stay in place.
3. **Review, refine, and download** — Check the architecture and staging carefully before using an image in property marketing.

## Example prompt

```
Virtually stage the same empty room with a restrained neutral linen sofa along the right wall, two light timber accent chairs near the window, an oval walnut coffee table and a large ivory rug. Add one quiet artwork on the right wall and a small plant. Preserve the exact walls, three-panel window, left doorway, floorboards, ceiling, sunlight and camera. Keep clear circulation and believable furniture scale.
```

## From reference to concept.

A generated source, its edited result, and a closer look at the same result. Use the comparison above to inspect what changed.

- **Empty room** — The generated source image used as the edit reference.
- **Virtually staged concept** — The result of the task-specific edit, using that source image.
- **The staged sofa detail** — A tightly framed detail from this result, shown at three times the scale of the full view.

## Benefits

- **Start with the property you have** — Upload a clear room photo instead of rebuilding the space as a 3D scene.
- **Give the furnishings a direction** — Ask for a room type, a furniture style, or a quieter, more neutral presentation.
- **Refine before you share** — Ask Bob for adjustments, inspect the result, and download the version you choose.

## Tips

- Use a sharp photo with a level camera and a clear view of the room.
- Name the features that must stay: windows, doors, built-ins, and flooring.
- Choose a believable furniture scale and leave natural routes through the room.

## Virtual staging questions

### Can I stage an empty room from a photo?

Yes. Upload the photo to Bob and describe its intended use and furniture style. Review the generated result for scale, layout, and changes to existing features.

### Can I restyle a room that already has furniture?

Yes. Tell Bob what should stay and what should change. Furnished rooms can also be used as references for restyling.

### Will the room stay exactly the same?

Not necessarily. Ask Bob to retain the layout and openings, but inspect the output. AI-generated images can alter geometry, fixtures, or other property details.

### Are the pictured furnishings available to buy?

These are visual concepts, not a shoppable furniture catalogue. Do not assume that a generated item corresponds to an exact product or available stock.

### Can I try virtual staging before subscribing?

The current offer is five free renders when you create an account, with no card required. Check the pricing page for paid plans, credits, and generation options.

AI can change room details. Review every image, clearly identify virtual staging, and check the requirements of the platform where you publish it. Rendervis does not certify listing compliance.
